Ever since Demi Lovato revealed in her interview with Harper's Bazaar last month that she is no longer friends with Selena Gomez, fans of the two have been wondering what could have happened to the former BFFs. Well, we now have a little bit more info about their relationship.
According to Us Weekly, "Demi has no beef with Selena and there is no animosity between them." Apparently, they're simply "not friends at this point."
Their falling out allegedly had to do with the personal struggles the two have both faced over the past few years. A source told Us that "Demi felt like Selena wasn’t always there for her and that the friendship wasn’t reciprocated.”
Another source, though, says the girls "haven’t been close friends since they were teenagers." That being said, they're apparently "pleasant when they’ve seen each other but haven’t been close for many, many years."
This comes after Demi told Harpers that while she still has love for Selena, she's not friends with her. Just a few days after that interview was published, an Instagram account was leaked, filled with mean jokes about Selena. The account was said to be Demi's private Instagram, but Demi is claiming thee account wasn't hers, "that it’s a fake profile that she doesn’t use and the photos that were making fun of Selena were edited and photoshopped," Us said.
Well, there you have it. The two are no longer friends and really haven't been for quite sometime. Maybe Demi just doesn't like to be reminded of her Disney days. She did, after all, say she was "miserable" and "overworked" for her years at the channel.
