PUPPP Rash Creams

In my previous post I shared my story finding out I had PUPPP rash; a rash you can get in your 3rd trimester of pregnancy. It has caused me immense fatigue and lots of tears on top of all the 3rd trimester pregnancy symptoms. My heart seriously goes out to persons who struggle with chronic skin conditions.

It has been one week since I met with my midwife and got prescribed a steroid topical cream. I have a lot of reservations about using the steroid topical cream, so I apply it sparingly. I only use the steroid cream around my hands and feet as those are the most annoying spots where my rashes flare up.

Aside from that cream, what I think has helped the most are the products in my pictures:

🌻 365 by Whole Foods Market colloidal oatmeal body wash. I rinse my body twice a day - once in the morning and once in the evening. I lather some of the body wash on a washcloth, gently rub the lather all over my body, leave the lather on for a few minutes, and then rinse.

🌻Honest Eczema Cream. I slather this lotion all over my body after my showers and use it as needed throughout the day. It has 1% colloidal oatmeal and is a great alternative to other creams like Eucerin that has some risky ingredients.

🌻Acure Everyday Eczema Lotion. I just started using this one, but I love it already. It will be my daily lotion once I’m through the Honest lotion. I really like the Acure lotion because it has 2% colloidal oatmeal.

I have found that colloidal oatmeal helps me the most with managing the itchiness of the rashes. Oatmeal baths are great, too but it’s only momentarily. That’s why I love the body wash and lotion options. I still get itchy, but as you can tell from my picture of my arm, my rashes look so much better compared to my last post.

If you’re struggling with PUPPP rash, you’re not alone ❤️ Sending you lots of care and I hope these products may be helpful for you to find alleviation.
